Yesterday morning I was blessed to join many thou Yesterday morning I was blessed to join many thousands at the funeral of Pope Francis.
Under the bella-bella Roman sky, with chants and harmonious music, we were united.
We felt his warm spirit and a profound peace.

Cardinal Re ended his homily/eulogy reminding us that Pope Francis traditionally ended his talks with humble words:“Do not forget to pray for me.”
It was one of the many ways this People’s Pope showed us We are all One.
🙏❤️let’s carry on his prayers to “build bridges, not walls”

God never tires of Forgiving. - Pope Francis I wa God never tires of Forgiving. - Pope Francis

I was blessed at Easter to have been in Rome at Piazza San Pietro to hear Pope Francis give us his Buona Pasqua message. It was powerful to be among the thousands, united and praying for World Peace.

The news of his death on Monday morning shocked me.
That night I returned to the Piazza to find a tranquil scene of nuns, newscasters, Romans, and tourists like me. There were smatterings of candle-lit prayer groups. There was a feeling of being lost, as many, like me, looked up at the empty balcony where he had appeared the day before.
How inspiring was this man who led with Humility until the end, forever urging us, as he did on Easter:
“to hope anew, and to revive our trust in others including those who are different than ourselves or who come from distant lands, bringing unfamiliar customs, ways of life and ideas. For all of us are children of God!
